I’ll be honest, anytime I see a diesel on the shelf, I always take a closer look. Now, when that diesel is one I’ve never had I do a double-take. This happened the other day at my favorite dispensary in Portland, Americanna RX when I spotted the Blue City Diesel Live Resin from Buddies Brand out of PDX, for just $18 USD a gram. Now to give you a little strain background, Blue City Diesel is an Indica-dominant hybrid strain that was bred in Washington State and combines two of the greatest cuts ever known in Blueberry and NYC Diesel. The results are said to be breathtaking, so I was more than jazzed to give this girl a try.
I decided to use my Mobius Stereo Matrix Bubbler for this session and as soon as I opened the jar to the Blue City Diesel, I was hit in the face with heavy notes of sour diesel fumes with a blueberry finish that smelled amazing. As for the consistency, the Blue City Diesel was the perfect mix that reminded me of thin honey and was very easy to work with. As for the looks of this gear, the Blue City Diesel was gorgeous to look at and appeared to be amber diamonds in the light. I was easily able to grab a nice-sized dab of the Blue City Diesel and once it made contact with my quartz banger it was liftoff time as I was instantly so high. This fade was deep and had me feeling nice and numb for a good two hours. I wouldn’t say this was completely a couchlock specimen but it was pretty damn close as I did not get much done during the session. As for her taste, this girl was nice as I enjoyed her earthy notes of gas and blueberry that lasted on my tongue for quite a while into the night.
Overall, the Blue City Diesel Live Resin was a show stopper and absolutely earned my respect. When it came to her strength and potency, the Blue City Diesel seemed to bring with her more of her Indica traits as I was beyond devastated so I gave her a score of 9.4/10. In regards to her taste and pungency, the Blue City Diesel was delicious and had heavy notes of berry and gas that lasted on the palate well after exhale so for that reason I gave her a score of 9.5/10. In the end, the Blue City Diesel absolutely lived up to the hype and made me a believer. If you are lucky enough to find this delicious gear on a shelf near you, grab it, as the Blue City Diesel is straight fire and worth every penny.
